Redmond does a fantastic job of weaving this tale, and even makes numerous references to previous expeditions into Borneo to give the reader some historical perspective. This book tells the gripping tale of their survival. One of the features I enjoyed and if I had known about it before I read the book I would have handled the book differently. The story focuses on a boy who deals with anger by running away with his imagination into a world of wild creatures, who crown him as their king.
This is a superb resource for any classroom attended by 4 year olds and older children.
